Jai Matha Public School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi with Affiliation No: 930476.The syllabi is as per the CBSE. We follow the textbook prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (N.C.E.R.T). The medium of instruction is English. But the local language Malayalam and the National language Hindi are also of equal importance.

Syllabus/ Curriculum

School follows the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. We have classes from Lower Kindergarten (LKG) to Class X and Students prepare for the All India Secondary School (AISS) Examination at Class X.

Admission overview

  • The school year begins in June and ends in March.
  • Admission to the school is guided by certain Government regulations and by the conditions of age, ability and conduct.
  • No child less than 4 years old on the first day of the academic year will be admitted to LKG
  • Every candidate for admission must be introduced in person by the parent or guardian.
  • At the time of admission, copies of the following certificates should be submitted at the school office.
    1. Birth Certificate (once admitted no change of date will be entertained).
    2. Health Card.
    3. Aadhar card
    4. 3 copies of passport size photograph
  • Those seeking new admission have to produce/upload their Transfer Certificate from the school last attended.
  • There will be an entrance test to the students who are seeking admission to Std 1 onwards.
  • Pupils seeking admission in higher classes may be tested on the syllabus of the level preceding the one to which they seek admission.
  • The school does not have any agents for admission.
  • Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Any attempt to use unfair means of influence will lead to automatic disqualification.
  • The School authorities reserve the right to refuse admission to a pupil without assigning any reason.
  • They also reserve the right to dismiss a student, whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students or whose parents show little interest in the progress of their wards.

Examination

Examination plays an important role in the process of learning and in the progress of the whole educational system. Exams and tests ,as a comprehensive way to assess what the students have learned with regards to particular subjects through the course of the academic year. Strengths and weaknesses can also be assessed through exams.

  1. The school conducts slip tests, Mid-Terms and /Terminal/Examinations. Reports of Mid-Term examination will be sent to the parents through the children. After the Terminal Examinations, parents are requested to come to the school to sign the progress report and discuss with teachers regarding their ward’s performance.
  2. Promotion to the next higher Class is solely based on the student’s performance in the terminal as well as the annual examinations. Internal assessment will also be considered in this matter.
  3. A minimum of 60% of marks and 90% of attendance is required for promotion.
  4. Students who fail to attend examination in due time will not be given a chance for re-examination.
  5. Students who convectively fail twice in the same class will be terminated from the school.
